Completing Projects

This will be my last semester of school and I am looking forward to the adventures this semester brings. Spring is such a beautiful time of year with all of the cheer and color it brings! I am going to soak it all in and let God lead me in the direction I am supposed to go in.

I am taking some classes that will be challenging but I also left my schedule open to take some fun courses. Having a more relaxed last semester was always my plan, and it ended up working out! Now I have more time to craft! Crafting, as you may have noticed, brings me so much joy! This spring I plan to make more necklaces so that i have a good stock (stay tuned and hopefully there will be some available to look at in my portfolio). I also am having so much fun with clay and creating miniature gnome gardens and accessories to go in them. I would also like to complete some graphic design projects. We shall see what I accomplish!

I know this time will go by fast so I plan to take every moment and enjoy it and not worry about what's next.

Here's just a fun picture of my puppy smelling the daffodils in the springtime!

Custom Orders

There is just a certain feeling when someone asks you to custom make them something. I have had a few of these custom orders come through in the past couple of months. When people ask for something specific, it's usually for someone else. I absolutely love being able to make something special for someone to give as a gift. This is probably because I love giving gifts, whether it's a tangible gift or a helping hand, it is so precious. Sometimes I wish I had unlimited resources so that I could give people special gifts whenever I felt like it.

Being able to be a part of other people giving gifts is so neat. They think of the perfect gift, I create it, and they give it to that special someone. This is just a little insight into how I feel about custom orders. They could be frustrating if you let them, but they can also be so much fun and bring so much joy!

Crafting Designs

The last craft bazaar of the season is over. Although not everyone could be there with us selling their crafts, my mom, dad, and I had fun seeing people we knew, buying goodies, and selling our crafts. This was the most successful bazaar for me so far. I also had quite a few people asking me if I had a website. This was really encouraging to see that people liked my work and wanted to see more of it. I'm not ready to start a whole business online, but I love doing custom orders for people. At these craft bazaars a lot of people are Christmas shopping for their friends or families. They want to find the perfect, unique gift for them. It is so fun to hear who people are giving my creations to.

There was one particular lady who asked me to make a necklace for her grandson. She told me that her grandson always tells her "I love you to the Moon and Back" when he leaves. She ordered from me at one of the other craft bazaars. I have made a lot of necklaces with this saying on them, but never one for a little boy. This was so sweet. I had a hard time figuring out how to make a necklace that would be perfect for a little boy, but once I figured it out, I was so happy with the outcome. I ended up stamping on a dog tag, adding a piece of leather on top, and a charm. The lady came to the craft bazaar and said she had to find me first. I handed her the necklace, and she was so pleased with how it turned out. She told me that her grandson would love it. I love making people happy, it in turn makes me happy too!!
